It’s hard to believe this is our fourth year in our log home.
We are continually appreciative of what you and your crew have done.
As we move from room to room we are reminded of the many craftsman you referred us to. From our stairway and rails to kitchen/bath cabinetry and our great Murphy beds. Also the stone fireplaces, patio and walkways.
Every week seemed to bring a new challenge, which the crew met head on, finished in a timely fashion with quality log home workmanship.

The two things that stand out in our mind about Ken LaCoy Construction are their creativity and insistence on top quality craftsmanship.
We’re still in awe on how they could take the pictures from our many, many magazines and create just what we wanted — a home uniquely ours.
You’ll notice the high quality craftsmanship of their crew and subcontractors as soon as you walk in our house and if we found a flaw even now — a year and a half later, they’d insist on making it right.
The decision to build a log home came slowly, after considering many different construction types. We inspected a variety of structures including conventional frame, conventional with log siding, and full log construction.
Once we chose full-log home construction, it was clear that a particularly skilled and creative contractor was necessary. We chose Ken LaCoy Construction for the general contractor and finish work, and Mark and Karen Rosen to prepare the logs. We have never regretted either of these decisions. Each has been reliable, honest, timely, creative, and flexible.
Our home has been entirely individualized by us with the contractor. The foundation and basement were prepared while the Montana logs were hand hewn, scribed, and provisionally assembled. Once the foundation and log structure were both ready, the logs were transported to our building site, and reassembled there.
The structure was then completed by Ken LaCoy Construction. This was as painless as home building gets! Great communication and reliable work was the rule.
Our home has great craftsmanship including handcrafted log stairs and railings, chainsaw carvings on stairposts, fieldstone fireplaces made of stone from our hometown, and an indoor spa. Many signature touches were added, often on-site with the lead carpenter, demonstrating the flexibility and creativity characteristic of the LaCoy team. We recommend Ken LaCoy Construction without reservation!
Because of Ken LaCoy Construction’s experience and craftsmanship, we were able to restore our 100 year old log cabin and enhance it with a beautiful addition. We were pleased with the high quality of workmanship, attention to detail, and the timely manner in which the project was completed.

We recently completed a major project of building a log home.
Thanks to Ken LaCoy Construction it became a very interesting experience with few headaches. From day one, the crew was most accommodating. The carpenters were true craftsmen. All of the crew, starting with Steve, the foreman, as well as the Plumber, the Electrician, the Cabinet maker, and the flooring people are all top of the line.
